I made this message board from the tutorial on Make It and Love It. It is fabric wrapped around the frame backing with hot glue. You use a dry erase marker on the glass of the frame to write the messages. I added hooks for our keys since it hangs right by the garage door. I plan on using it for fun kid facts or vocabulary words over the summer.
This is a similar idea but a smaller scale. I printed the menu and day letters on pretty paper and framed it. I use the dry erase marker to write the menu for the week right on the glass of the frame. It is leaning on the counter by the fridge in the kitchen. It is a little more elegant than my old printout for the kids. Now I need to work on my handwriting to get it to match the font! Here is another tutorial we found for making these.

Very cute Sarah! I love this idea.
I'm definitely making one of these. They are just lovely and functional, too! :)
Thanks for adding my links. I an still figuring out how to do all that fancy blog stuff!
oh gosh...great minds think alike!
i saw an idea for these "message boards" last year, but was very uninspired to finish the three i started. last week i got some great scrapbook products that had a kitchen theme to them and thought i'd try it again. i love how mine turned out. i can't post it yet, cause i don't have it anymore. had to pass it off to be photographed. but i will when i get it back...i have to post something on this blog!
thanks for the inspired idea sarah!
